John Haram
Bass Guitar.
Spent his early years in London where he first heard the late great bass guitarist Jet Harris of Shadows fame and decided that was what he wanted to do. (He says he still wants to do that!!) He later moved to Cape Town and whilst there formed the` Zephyrs` which became the busiest and best function band in the region. It ran for 35 years and had its final gig in 1999 with the same line up as when the band started. In his musical career he has bassed for such diverse performers as an Irish folk band, a folk trio and a Country Gospel Group. Upon returning to Scotland he met Stewart, Ronnie and Fiona and joined ClydeBuilt. His unobtrusive but extremely effective style gives depth, resonance and class to the bands performance.
